Hello my lovelies!

We are well and truly in the midst of 2025 and we are over halfway through our UFO Challenge. We now have just 3 months left (August has started so it doesn’t count LOL).

How are you going?

I feel a bit like I’ve had a mixed run overall. Made some progress, ignored things entirely and mostly just felt like things were a bit blah. I’ve been unwell a lot – a mix of my usual issues, pain fatigue and then whatever insidious bug going around that knocked me flat a few weeks ago.

However, TAFE is over and I am now back to my usual quilting schedule and running around trying to sort out other things in my life.

And then we have the ever looming “run into Christmas” – which I reckon none of us is ever truly ready for in any timely fashion. Headless chicken mode ENGAGED.

But it is my sworn duty to remind you all to book your quilts in ASAP for machine quilting because well… it gets a bit chaotic and we don’t want anyone to miss out. I can only quilt so much in the time we have.

I’m also in the midst of working out if classes would be a good thing to bring back for the remainder of the year. Starting September and running on Zoom – more FMQ series and any specific techniques that you might want to learn. I don’t want to take up too much of your time so classes would be quick, cheap and cheerful. I want to concentrate on techniques in a way that would be helpful – for example comparing techniques for something like binding.

For now though, make sure you get your quilts finished for Christmas and booked in for quilting ASAP.
